2014 Week 1 CUFLA Three Stars

With the Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association (CUFLA) returning to action, In Lacrosse We Trust kicks off the 2014 season coverage with Pat Gregoire’s Week 1 Three Stars.

Third Star- Taren Cook- Bishop’s University

Freshmen Taren Cook had an impressive CUFLA debut, netting four goals in Bishop’s 16-3 victory this past Sunday. The Rothesay, New Brunswick native will look to help fill the offensive void left by former Gaiter standout Alex Henderson.

Second Star- Philip Romanet- Laurentian University

Opening weekend was a coming out party for Laurentian University’s Philip Romanet who netted eight goals, three assists for 11 points in two games. The Georgetown, ON native helped the Voyageurs secure their first victory of the season with a seven point performance against McMaster.

First Star- Greg Davidson- Brock University

Senior attackman Greg Davidson left where he left off in 2013, scoring an outstanding seven goals in the Brock Badgers’ outrageous 33-3 victory over the Laurier Golden Hawks. The Toronto Beaches product is four goals away from registering his 100th CUFLA regular season goal.
