This is a very special gear column coming at you this week as I’m highlighting Maryland versus Notre Dame from Saturday. Both teams were sporting special uniforms and helmets in honor of the final regular game that depicted ACC postseason seeds/standings.
Notre Dame sported their Shamrock Series gear.
Their Cascade R’s were white with a green/gold combo making the ND decal. The same green outlined in gold was the player’s number on the back of their helmets. The face masks were gold chrome with a green chin guard that half flowed into a bit of gold up on the helmet sides.
Gloves were Maverick Rome NXTs with gold on gold on gold. Then, on the cuff pad was a green Irish clover that popped out awesomely.
White home jerseys were layered with outstanding print. Green numbers were outlined in gold. On the back was a small green clover on top of the numbers, and the front had the classic IRISH above digits. Shorts were white, and green streaks ran down the sides of the whole uniform.
The team also had custom Addidas’ that were all green (and green laces) with gold bottoms. Green socks with gold clovers put the cherry on top of the uniform cake.
Maryland sported their classic lacrosse styles loudly.
Their Cascade R’s were black shell with a gray/black headwrap decal patterned with the Maryland-specific plaid. The red chrome face mask made the helmet pop, and the chin guard in red that ran up the helmet sides topped it off.
Black away uniforms had the classic yellow outline numbers, and when looking closely at the black interior color, the Terp-plaid was visible as black-on-black. Black shorts and black cleats with yellow laces.
The front of the jersey sported those numbers, and on the front was a small, yellow UA on top of a small MARYLAND in red. The back simply showed the number.
Under Armour Charge gloves were dirty nice with a black primary (also runs up the middle/ring fingers and thumb), yellow secondary (runs up pinky/index fingers), with red cuffs.
Their footwear were black Warrior Burns with yellow laces.
