Bandits Look To Spoil Banner Raising

The Buffalo Bandits split their two games last weekend and face another difficult challenge tonight. The Bandits head to Rochester to take on the Knighthawks in their home opener, the night that they will be raising their Championship banner to the rafters.

The Knighthawks had last weekend off and haven’t played since their opening night loss to the Washington Stealth. Tonight could be the first time we see their entire offensive unit together, as Casey Powell is currently listed as questionable for tonight.

The Bandits will be without Billy Dee Smith, who after serving his two game suspension now is out with injury. Jon Harasym has appealed his suspension and will be available for tonight’s game.

The game is an important one for goalie Anthony Cosmo, who has been pulled in both his starts this season. Although Wagar has played well, Coach Darris Kilgour made clear that Cosmo will be the man going forward. Getting a confidence boost could make a big difference for the Bandits.

The Knighthawks don’t want to start the season 0-2, so this a very big game for them as well. They’ll be looking to Cody Jamieson, Johnny Powless, and Dan  Dawson to really get things rolling tonight.

The game kicks off at 7:30 from the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester. You can watch live on Youtube through the Lacrosse Network or find the link on the NLL.com homepage.
