Bayhawks Hope To Disarm The Machine

The Chesapeake Bayhawks can’t help but notice the Denver Outlaws nipping at their heels. Sitting only half a game ahead of Denver, Chesapeake is hoping to keep their distance with a victory tonight against the last place Ohio Machine.

The Bayhawks are coming off a much needed victory at the hands of Rochester after a tough road loss to Charlotte. On paper this game is quite the blowout, especially when you factor in that the Bayhawks won their last game against Ohio by a 23 to 11 score.

It is too late for the Machine to save their season, but their are hoping to formulate something to build on for year two. They split their home and home last week with Hamilton t0 give the franchise its first road victory. Steele Stanwick has been excellent quarterbacking the offense in his rookie season, scoring 8 goals and 11 assists. He’s had at least a goal in each of his 5 MLL games.

Chesapeake has a ton of players who can score as well, with four players having as many or more points as Ohio’s leading scorer. When you have Kimmel, Dixon, Brooks, Westervelt, Grant, and Glading all rolling there is no way the Machine defense has any chance.

The game starts at 8:00 pm eastern in Ohio. Both teams would love a late season victory, but only one will achieve it. Remember the next day to listen to the MLL Post-Game Show starting at 10 AM hosted by myself. Will be discussing the action from around the league and all the interesting storylines that come with it. Listen on the first channel of the Lacrosse Radio Network.
