Bayhawks Stay in First, Defeat Cannons

The Boston Cannons have now lost three of their last four games, as last night they fell to the Chesapeake Bayhawks by a score of 14-13. The Cannons are now 5-3 while the Bayhawks move to 7-1 to lead MLL in the standings.

Kip Turner, the former Cannons goalie and a former MLL goalie of the year, beat his former backup in Jordan Burke.

The troubling thing about this game for the Cannons is their inability to score the tying or go ahead goal late in the game. They had the same problem in their loss to Long Island two weeks ago.

For the Bayhawks, they got two two point goals from Kyle Dixon as they continue to use this as their weapon of mass destruction. Drew Westervelt and John Grant Jr had two goals each while Michael Kimmel had the hat trick.

For the Cannons, Matt Poskay, Ryan Boyle and Kevin Buchanan each had two goals while Paul Rabil had two two point goals.

There was an attendance of over 10,000 in Chesapeake for this first place matchup.
