Boston Cannons and Chesapeake Bayhawks Battle for First

Tomorrow night, the Boston Cannons and Chesapeake Bayhawks will battle for first place in Major League Lacrosse. It is the first time the Cannons (5-2) have faced the Hawks (6-1)

The Bayhawks won last week in a tight, one goal game against the Hamilton Nationals. Meanwhile, the Cannons blew out the hapless Charlotte Hounds by a score of 16-8 to snap their two game losing streak.

Matt Poskay has been a dominating force for the Cannons in 2012, and he continues it last week with five goals. Paul Rabil still leads the league in points, and Ryan Boyle keeps on trucking as well.

For the Bayhawks, they have gotten great performances from Kyle Dixon, who is third in the league in points, and Steve Brooks, who is also in the top ten.

The Bayhawks biggest area of skill comes from the two point line, but the Cannons have some fire power there as well. Rabil is constantly in the league leaders in two point shots, but they lost some of their might there when they traded Brad Ross to the Rochester Rattlers.

Game time is tomorrow night at 7pm, and if you have to miss an MLL game this season, make sure it’s not this one.
