Boston Cannons Get Back on Track With Win Over Hounds

The Boston Cannons got back on track this week with a 16-8 win over the Charlotte Hounds. The win snapped a two game losing streak that Boston had been mired in. Meanwhile, the Hounds fell to 1-6.
Boston got a stellar performance from goalie Jordan Burke, who allowed just eight goals and made sixteen saves after having two rough weeks in a row. Adam Ghitelman on the Hounds end made seventeen saves but he also gave up sixteen goals.

Matt Poskay continues his tear in this 2012 season with five goals on the night, including one that made Sportscenter on ESPN. Kevin Buchanan and Ryan Boyle also had two goals a piece.

The only multi goal performance from the Charlotte Hounds was Jeremy Boltus, who had two. The Hounds also won just six faceoffs, hitting a low on their miserable season from the dot.

Charlotte is last in the league in faceoffs, and the issue continues to haunt them. They face off with the Ohio Machine last week while the Cannons will have a first place battle with the Chesapeake Bayhawks.
