Cannons and Lizards Discussing Rabil Deal?

According to reports, the Boston Cannons and New York Lizards have been discussing a trade that would send midfielder Paul Rabil to New York in exchange for Max Seibald. Boston would also be giving up speedy midfielder Mike Stone.

The report indicated that the deal could be done by yesterday and the trade would be announced early next week. Boston would also acquire draft picks for the next two seasons.

Rabil missed the end of last season and the Cannons missed the playoffs. The two time MLL MVP led them to a championship in 2011. Seibald has had an injury history but has been a star at times.

Boston would also reportedly acquire long stick defenseman Brian Karalunas. Potentially, this trade opens the Cannons up for rebuilding after they also lost Stephen Berger and Ryan Boyle this off season.

The trade isn’t a done deal but it sounds like it will happen very soon, so keep up with InLacrosseWeTrust.com for updates as they happen.
