Cannons Look to Go Streaking

The Boston Cannons have a two game winning streak to find themselves back in the MLL playoff race, and tonight they face the 1-7 Ohio Machine. The Cannons have won their last two games against Charlotte and New York, and for the first time this season they play a Machine team that fell to the Denver Outlaws 19-5 last week.

Logan Schuss is the biggest danger for the Machine, but other than him Ohio struggles to score while the Cannons defense has just grown stronger. PT Ricci is back from injury and Jordan Burke seems to be better in net since John Tucker took over head coaching duties.

Cannons faceoff man Chris Eck told us last night that he feels the team is ready to go on a roll, and with a win tonight they’d find themselves in a good position. If either the Chesapeake Bayhawks or Charlotte Hounds lose they would fall into a tie with them, and Boston has the tiebreaker.

Last season the Cannons went 2-0 against the Machine including a key last game of the season to make the playoffs. Can the Machine recover from their woes of last week and make a run against the possibly surging Cannons?
