CLax Draft Prospects Bring Out Interesting Names

The Canadian Lacrosse League draft and combine is a few days away, and with that, a few interesting names have emerged as far as who is in the draft and could be on a roster in 2015.

Good Players who Should be Picked

Connor Eustace: Was a prospect in the NLL draft who wasn’t selected but has had a decent career in Brampton. Seems like the perfect CLax type of player.

Joe Opron: One of the leading scorers every year with the Chicago Outlaws. There is a very heavy CILL presence this year and Opron is the best offensive player.

Nicholas Jonas: American defenseman, drafted by the Minnesota Swarm and played with the Outlaws. 6’5 solid physical defender who should get a shot at a high level.

Brendan Anger: Was a decent NLL prospect. Played Jr B with the Windsor Clippers. Another guy who could succeed in CLax.

Brock Levick: Played with the Brampton Excelsiors and impressed at the NLL combine even though he went undrafted. Just signed with the Rochester Knighthawks.

Daryl Robertson: Drafted by the Toronto Rock out of Whitby. Only drafted player on the list.

Interesting Names

Ryan Wheeler: Plays Sr B with the Tri City Bandits and also one of the leading scorers in the Baltimore Indoor Lacrosse League.

Marco Hill: Has played Sr B, CILL, and even in Europe.

Alex Urquhart: One of the writers for ILWT about the Minnesota Swarm and MCLA.

Mike Mackley: Another ILWT writer, our prospect analyst and Toronto Rock writer.

Patrick O’Shea: Former Rhode Island Kingfish player, only runner from the North American Lacrosse League to try out.

Andrew McMillan: Plays Sr A with the Coquitlam Adanacs in the Western Lacrosse Association.
