CLAX League Leaders: Heading for the Playoffs

As the Clax season approaches the playoffs here is a quick look at the league leaders in goals, assists, points, save percentage and Goals Against Average.

The top goal scorer in Clax this season is someone every Clax fan should be familiar with and that is Wayne VanEvery. VanEvery has been on fire as he has scored 25 goals in just four games. VanEvery finished the 2013 season with 41 goals so he is on pace to surpass that mark. VanEvery is the heart of the Oshweken offense and should continue to put up impressive numbers for the rest of the season.

The assist leader in Clax this season is Andrew Potter. Potter has 22 assists this season and has continued to build on his success from 2013. Potter finished the 2013 season with 48 assists and second in the league in scoring. Potter is one of the best playmakers in Clax and it is no surprise that he has the most assists in the league.

The current points leader in the league is Chris Attwood. Attwood has been a force in Clax since the beginning of the league. Attwood was the Clax MOP in 2012 and seems to be in fine form this season as he has 20 goals and 20 assists for 40 points. Attwood has a six-point lead on teammate VanEvery for the points lead. Attwood has been a major part of Oshweken’s success this season as the team sits first in the league with a 7-0 record.

The Clax leader in both save percentage and Goal Against Average is Niagara Lock Monster goalie Dave DiRuscio. DiRuscio so far this season has 85.84 save percentage along with a 9.014 Goals Against Average. DiRuscio is having a phenomenal season for the Lock Monsters this season and has helped the team to a 5-2 record and second place in the league.

As the Clax season continues the leaders in these categories  will change but I would not be surprised if we see the same league leaders at the end of the season as all of these players have a track record of excellence.
