Epoch Lacrosse MLL Three Stars: Cockerton Shines

Every week MLL Three Stars is brought to you by Epoch Lacrosse. Live. Play. Be.

Number One—Mark Cockerton

The rookie scored six goals to lead the Rochester Rattlers to a huge win over the first place Denver Outlaws. Cockerton is on a team full of big name rookies such as Miles Thompson and Jordan Wolf, but he finally had his break out game. Dave Lawson also had six points in the contest, but Cockerton scored on all six of his and was one of the reasons they knocked off Denver.

Number Two—Joe Walters

Walters led the Chesapeake Bayhawks with eight points to bring the Bayhawks back into the playoff race at 3-6. They are now tied with the Ohio Machine for seventh place. Walters, who started his season late from playing in the NLL, scored his season high in points after having a stellar MLL all star game.

Number Three—Drew Adams

Adams made 16 saves in a New York Lizards win that sent them to third place in MLL alone. He held the Machine, who scored 16, 18 and then 16 goals again in the past three weeks, to just 13 goals. New York is now over .500 and a game up on Boston, Florida and Charlotte. Adams made six saves in the first quarter to hold Ohio to two goals to open the contest.
