JoJo Marasco Joins Maverik Lacrosse

JoJo Marasco has been a star on every level he has played on. Therefore, it shouldn’t be a shock that Maverik Lacrosse announced that they signed the current New York Lizard and former Syracuse star.

During his senior year at Syracuse, he recorded 66 points on the season on his way to being named a USILA First Team All American and the 2013 Big East Midfielder of the Year.

Maverik is pleased to have Marasco on board and had this to say about adding him to their star studded roster of athletes.

“Surpassing the legendary Paul Gait’s single season assist record as a midfielder is a reflection not only on JoJo’s vision and work ethic, but also his dedication to his teammates,” said Mike Chepucavage, Marketing Director for Cascade and Maverik Lacrosse. “His selfless approach to the game is a prime example of how we should promote and teach the sport to youth players.”

While Marasco didn’t have the best start to an MLL career, he ended the season on a high note as he recorded eight of his nine points in the final two games of the season. Marasco is also a part of the current Team USA tryout roster that features 53 players.

Marasco joins high profile names such as Kip Turner, Peet Poillon, Billy Bitter and Chris Bocklet on the Maverik Lacrosse team.

“I’m thrilled to be joining such an innovative and dedicated team,” said Marasco. “I’ve always admired Maverik’s approach to product development and grassroots marketing. I’m looking forward to playing my part in developing cutting edge equipment and raising awareness about the game. To be part of this movement is an honor and a privilege.”

Marasco’s first appearance as a member of Team Maverik will be at the grand opening in Longmeadow, MA on Saturday December 7 from 12-3 pm.
