Knighthawks Announce Camp Dates

The Rochester Knighthawks will open Training Camp the weekend of November 22-23 at the Unity Health System Total Sports Experience (TSE) in East Rochester.

“It will be nice to get going and have everyone in the same room again,” said Knighthawks Head Coach Mike Hasen. “I am looking forward to getting back to work with this group.”

The three-time defending National Lacrosse League Champions will hold their first practice from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22nd. The Knighthawks will hit the turf again on Sunday, November 23rd with an 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. practice at the 435 West Commercial St. facility. The sessions are free and open to the public.

“We’re going to get in, work hard and start the competition for the 2015 season,” said Hasen.

There is a lot of excitement surrounding the upcoming season after the team brought back veteran transition man Jordan Hall this offseason. The former NLL All-Pro joins a roster stocked with players from last year’s championship team. Rochester’s lineup includes 2014 NLL MVP Cody Jamieson, 2014 NLL Goaltender of the Year Matt Vinc and 2014 NLL Championship Game MVP Dan Dawson. The defense also boasts Team Captain Sid Smith and Assistant Captain Mike Kirk.

“I am really excited to be back with the guys again,” said Jamieson. “We have a great group and I have really enjoyed the last few years. I’m excited to get to work on another journey.”

Knighthawks will open their preseason schedule at home on Saturday, December 6th against the Minnesota Swarm. The free game at The Blue Cross Arena is set for 8:00 p.m. Each fan will need a ticket to attend the game, which can be reserved online by clicking here, http://www.knighthawks.com/2015preseasongame.

On Sunday, December 14th, Rochester will travel to Montreal’s Bell Centre for its second preseason contest. The 2:00 p.m. game against the Toronto Rock marks the second time in three years that the teams will play at the home of the Montreal Canadiens.

Rochester will open its 21st season on Saturday, January 3rd against Toronto at The Blue Cross Arena.
