Knighthawks, Rock, Will Play Exhibition in Montreal

The Rochester Knighthawks will return to Montreal’s Bell Centre for a National Lacrosse League preseason game on Sunday, December 14th at 2:00 p.m. For the second time in three years, Rochester will play the rival Toronto Rock at the home of the Montreal Canadiens.

Tickets for the game will go on sale on Saturday, October 18th at noon at the Bell Centre Box Office and online at www.evenko.ca. To order by phone, fans can call (855) 310-2525.

“The Knighthawks are excited to start the 2015 season and we are also excited about playing a game in the Bell Centre in Montreal,” said Knighthawks President Lewis Staats. “We believe in order to continue to grow the game, we need to expose NLL lacrosse action to as many new fans as we can. Montreal offers a very good opportunity to do just that and it will also give us a chance to play in a game-like atmosphere which is always good.”

The contest is the second preseason game for the three-time defending champion Knighthawks, who will open their schedule at home on Saturday, December 6th against the Minnesota Swarm. The free preseason game at The Blue Cross Arena is set for 8:00 p.m. Each fan will need a ticket to attend the game, which can be reserved online by clicking here, http://www.knighthawks.com/2015preseasongame.

There is a lot of excitement surrounding the upcoming season after the team brought back veteran transition man Jordan Hall and selected high-scoring forward Jeremy Noble with the second overall pick in the 2014 NLL Entry Draft. Rochester’s lineup also includes 2014 NLL MVP Cody Jamieson, 2014 NLL Goaltender of the Year Matt Vinc and 2014 NLL Championship Game MVP Dan Dawson.

The Knighthawks will open their 21st season on Saturday, January 3rd against Toronto at The Blue Cross Arena. Prior to the game, the Knighthawks will celebrate their latest NLL Championship by raising their 2014 Championship Banner.
