The Durham Turfdogs and Toronto Shooting Stars both opened their seasons in week one when professional lacrosse made its return to the building now known as the Mattamy Athletic Centre (formerly the historic Maple Leaf Gardens). The Toronto Rock defeated the Rochester Knighthawks 11-7 at the Blue Cross Arena Saturday night. The Rock improve their record to 4-1 while the Knighthawks drop to a stunning 0-3. The Charlotte Hounds of Major League Lacrosse today announced a trade that gives the team the rights to three additional draftees from the 2013 MLL Collegiate Draft.
