MCLA Wrap Up: Tight Games in the South

LSU 9, Florida University 8- Down in Baton Rouge Louisiana the Tigers came out on top vs. The Gators while being led on offense by Thomas Brown five points (2G,3A) and Josh Henderson four goals and one assist. D.C native Rick Battista made fifthteen saves for LSU to get the win.Brett Buch (2G,3A) Henry Champage added three goals on the day while Junior goalie Alex Triary made sixteen saves.
Florida Sate 13, Texas A&m 10- Florida State stars the year off with a win while handing A&M their second lose of the season. Jake Halter had one goal but dished out four assist to lead his team in points  Texas A&M goalie Connor Burke made ten saves in the game but it was just not enough to get his team the win.
San Diego Sate 9,UCLA 7- This battle in southern California was a tight one with San Diego pulling out the win while having seven different players score in the contest. Kevin Leis led the way with three points while Kevin Hoover, John Wilson and Will Mallonee each chipped in with two. Net minder Ryan Flaherty made twelve saves for his team.
Emory 11, Davidson 10 – Emory went on the road to play Davidson Sunday walking away with the one goal win. Attackman James Vo had six points for Emory goalie Nick Massa made fourteen saves for the Eagles. Davidson was lead by five points from Charlie Freeburg and Ben Daniels made nine saves.
Dayton 16, SCAD 8- Dayton was lead by Cody Topp with four points and goalie Andrew Kramers sixteen saves. Dayton Sean Dolan had three points of his own and four different players had four points. SCAD freshman goalie from Long Islands Northport High School Connor Goonan had sixteen saves in his first colligate action. Ohio state transfer Justin McGinnis lead his team with four points.
Dayton 17, Palm Beach 7 – Cody Topp lead Dayton in every offensive category  for six points (3G,A). Fourteen different players scored for Dayton while both goalies recorded five saves.
