Wolf and his offensive talent will give the Rattlers a great edge at Attack. His stellar finishing abilities and his love to shoot on the run, will give him immediate success in the MLL. Wolf is setting himself up for a great Senior season at Duke, and an impressive Rookie Year in the MLL.

3rd Round

Miles Thompson

Attack

University of Albany

The Rochester Rattlers selected Miles Thompson in the third Round (20th overall) of the Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft. In three seasons with University of Albany, Miles has tallied 107 goals and 67 assists for 174 points in 43 career games. Thompson broke the University of Albany school record for goals scored in a single game with nine in 2013, while also picking up an All-American Honorable Mention in that same season. His explosiveness and natural scoring ability makes him a great pick up for any team. He has been really reliable for Albany, scoring in almost every game he has played in. Thompson can be someone the Rattlers rely on at the Attack position.

4th Round

Ty Thompson

Attack

University of Albany

With their fourth Round pick (28th overall), the Rochester Rattlers picked another member of the Thompson family; Ty Thompson. Picking up their third straight Attackman gives Rochester great depth at the crucial position, with J. Wolf, M. Thompson, and T. Thompson. In 49 career games with the University of Albany, Ty has picked up 113 goals and 29 assists for 142 points. In the 2013 season, Thompson finished fourth in the NCAA for scoring, averaging three goals per game. He also received an All-American Honorable mention in his Junior season. T. Thompson is a natural goal scorer and can be an impact player for the Rattlers.

Daniel Eipp

Midfield

Harvard

The Rochester Rattlers selected Midfielder Daniel Eipp 32nd Overall with their second pick in the fourth Round. Eipp was the first midfielder selected by Rochester in the 2014 Collegiate Draft. He has compiled 76 points in 36 games played in his three seasons at Harvard. In 2012, Eipp won a Gold Medal with Team USA in the U-19 Lacrosse World Championship in Finland. His success at Harvard is also shown with what he has done with US Lacrosse. Eipp is a great pick to add depth at the midfield position. His offensive talent is backed up with solid defensive play, making him a great two-way player.

6th Round

Tom Freshour

Defense

Cornell University

With their sixth Round pick (44th Overall), the Rochester Rattlers selected Tom Freshour. Freshour becomes the first defenseman selected by the Rattlers in the 2014 Draft. He has worked his way into a starting role within Cornell’s solid defensive unit, adding 71 ground balls and causing 34 turnovers in his career. Freshour can become a shut down defenseman in the MLL. He continues to get better every season and that has to be something the Rattlers love. It will be exciting to see what he can do in his Senior season and with Rochester.

7th Round

Andrew Wagner

Defense

Mercyhurst University

The Rochester Rattlers selected Andrew Wagner 52nd Overall (seventh Round) in the 2014 Collegiate Draft. This Mercyhurst defenseman is arguably one of the best in NCAA Division II lacrosse. Wagner has played in, and started, all 49 career games for Mercyhurst. He has accumulated 56 groundballs and has caused 31 turnovers. In 2012 and 2013, Wagner received the William C. Schmeisser Award for Division II’s Most Outstanding Defender. The Rattlers selected a great, hardworking defender. He has shown his ability to contribute, and can be depended on each and every game.

Mark Cockerton

Attack

University of Virginia

The Rattlers created even more depth at the Attack position with the selection of Mark Cockerton 56th Overall. Cockerton has shown his dependency, appearing in 47 out of 49 possible games for Virginia. He has contributed offensively with 65 goals and 16 assists in his collegiate career. In 2013, he scored 49 goals at the Attack position, ranking him fourth amongst all Virginia players with goals in a single season. He increases his numbers with every season he plays, and continues to develop and improve, making him a threat at any level.

8th Round

Tom LaCrosse

Midfield

Penn State

With an ironic name, Tom LaCrosse joins the Rochester Rattlers organization, as he was selected in the eighth Round of the 2014 Collegiate Draft (60th Overall). LaCrosse has appeared in 46 career games, and has been an offensive threat at the Midfield position. He has tallied 41 goals and 10 assists for 51 career points. LaCrosse loves to shoot on the run, and has been towards the top of the Penn State team each season for shots on goal.  Picking up groundballs is another strength for LaCrosse, making him a great two-way player. The Rattlers last selection gives them a great edge at Midfield.
