NCAA: Denver Looks for Second Win, Faces Penn State

This should be a spectacular game. Both teams are coming of wins last week; Penn State had beaten Michigan and Denver had won a nail biting game against Duke. Both teams utilizes their strength and speed to bread down opponents.

Last season Denver suffered a bruised ego despite the 9-7 record that they had. Denver was faced with a lot of concern; How in the world would this team contend without  Mark Matthews?

Last week , the Pioneers struggled to contain a Duke offense that has been struggling with scoring. Duke exposed the Pioneers. The Blue Devils constantly attacked and the Pioneers had no explanation of why it was so easy for Duke to score.

This week Bill Tierney’s team will play to their full potential. They have to maintain time management and have to be turnover free in order to win against Penn State

What more could we say about the Penn State offense; They had played an all around game against one of the top teams. They controlled the game from the beginning and they had mutualized Michigan high powed offense.

Michigan was held to 6 goals; Could  you imagine how ugly this game could get out of hand if the Pioneers do not play with a sense of urgency?

Keys for victory
Denver has to let the game come to them. Do not allow Penn State to score at will. The Pioneers need to tighten up their defense. Control the game!
Penn State has to attack. As you have seen, Denver has a lot of wrinkles in their defense. You need to exploit the wringles and make Denver play physical.
