NLL Trade Deadline: Edmonton Rush

As the trade deadline draws near (5pm eastern today) I truly do not see any trades being done by the Rush.  They are solid between the pipes with Bold and MacDonald.  The defense is just as solid with Rubisch, Lintz, Mydske and Cornwall just to name a few.  And the offense…Mark Matthews is on pace to break John Grant Jr’s rookie record for goals in a season (37).  Matthews is on pace for 45.

Matthews’s presence on the floor opens up opportunities for players such as Ryan Ward, Zack Greer, Corey Small on the offensive side of the ball.  This is the most solid I have seen this team.

If Edmonton makes any moves at all, it will be the signing of a free agent, which teams have til Friday March 15 at 5pm to have them placed on the playoff roster.

Edmonton has made very few transactions all season and so far have had a solid roster after going to the championship last season. They sit at 5-5 and in third place in the west.
