Oakville Gets Rights to Rose, Jones

The Oakville Rock announced via twitter that they have added two players to their rights list, even though they are playing on the other side of the country.Earlier in the week it was announced that goaltender Nick Rose would be back with the Coquitlam Adanacs of the Western Lacrosse Association and that Adam Jones had signed with the Langley Thunder.

However, Major Series Lacrosse wants their say and have added them to their rights list for their eastern rosters. Rose already tweeted this afternoon that he would play with Oakville next season.

The Rock had to trade for the rights from the Brooklin Redmen, and give up the rights to Jesse Guerin, Shayne Jackson and Kyle Aquin. Rose is a member of the NLL’s Toronto Rock, and the Oakville team plays out of the Rock’s practice facility and he is from Orangeville, Ontario.

Oakville moved to their current location this offseason after having played in Ajax previous seasons.
