Sabertooths Win Their First MILA Championship

After just one season in the league, the Colorado Sabertooths are the best team in the Midwest Indoor Lacrosse Association.

Last night the Sabertooths defeated the Grand Rapids Dragonfish by a score of 13-6 in Michigan to take home the second ever MILA Championship.

Colorado went undefeated in the regular season and quickly established themselves as one of the best teams in American indoor lacrosse.

They defeated all their opponents on the road with just one home game all season at the Pepsi Center in Denver, also the home to the Colorado Mammoth.

Grand Rapids also had a great season trying to defend their title, but in the end, the Sabertooths were just too strong a team, even without their NLL players.

MILA had some ups and downs getting this championship off, but the game was played and the Sabertooths are your 2012 MILA Champions.
