Synowiez Traded to Rhode Island; Otto Signs As Well

The Baltimore Bombers and Rhode Island Kingfish got busy on Thursday afternoon, making a trade and a few more transactions. In what can be said to be the first trade in North American Lacrosse League history, the Bombers sent James Synowiez to the Kingfish for a fifth round draft pick next season.

Synowiez has two goals so far this season with Baltimore, who play Rhode Island on Saturday night. Meanwhile, Baltimore also released Justin Otto who played with the Boston Rockhoppers last season. Otto also signed with the Kingfish.

Baltimore also released Rob Starr who has not played in a game this season, but he has not been signed. Synowiez had one big game with the Bombers where he scored twice earlier this season in their overtime win over Boston.

The Kingfish are 0-3 and cannot make the playoffs. Meanwhile, Baltimore is 3-2 on the season. A win would put them half a game behind Boston for first place. Baltimore defeated Rhode Island at Du Burns Arena earlier this season 12-9.
