They capitalized! At 10:36 in the third Maryland brought the game within two points, 5-3.

Maryland’s Connor Cannizzaro (#23) would find the back of the cage next, the Terps stealing the game’s momentum, at 9:36 and the game was officially on if it weren’t already. 5-4

At 7:13 Cornell snagged another goal, re-extending their lead to 6-4. Maryland battled back with all their might, but the third period would close with Cornell still leading 6-4. Both teams had 2 T/O’s remaining.

With 6:12 left in either team’s season, Maryland tied up the match for the first time all day! Unassisted goal by #23 Connor Cannizzaro.

Game is back and forth, dirty and intense. With 53 seconds remaining and Cornell having run down the clock a bit, Maryland called a timeout. Still 7-7, the stadium is still. The huddles break and with Maryland’s possession came the earthshaking crowd support.

Maryland loses the ball! It’s a scramble on the ground but they come back up with it. Clock keeps ticking, 9 seconds remaining! Maryland uses their final timeout.

Mike Chanenchuk drives from X. He started the Terps’ scoring and would end it as well. He dives away and secures the Maryland ‘W’ with 2 seconds left! The crowd goes wild, Cornell’s heads drop.
