Villanova Looks for Rebound Against Marquette

Villanova is coming into this game off of back to back losses against Maryland and Fairfield. Their other loss comes at the hands of Johns Hopkins. They sit at 5-3 on the season with a decent amount of wins over top programs in Pennsylvania.
Jack Curran leads the Wildcats with twenty points (14 G, 6 A) and will look to continue increasing his points. To do this, he will need help from Freshman Sean Cerrone, who has 19 points so far. Along with Danny Seibel (18 points) and Eric Gartner (15 points).
The Wildcats will need their defense and both goalies, Dan Willis and Greg Stamatov, to stand on their heads as they go up against a previously undefeated Marquette team.
Marquette was surprised by Georgetown just a week ago. With a weeks worth of practice under their belt, you can believe that the Golden Eagles will come out hungry. Senior, Jordan Greenfield, leads the team with 34 points in eight games. Connor Gately has 23, followed by Kyle Withlow (19 points) and Ryan McNamara (17 points). Coach Amplo had 16 other players that have recorded at least one point and have combined for 40 points. Needless to say, the Golden Eagles have a lot of scoring opportunities.
It’ll be a battle of the goalies with Danny Danaherclick, having 73 saves this season and ranks 32nd on the saves list. His counterparts at Villanova are ranked higher than him with Willis at 10th and Stamatov at 30th. Amplo’s defense will have their hands full with a strong Wildcat offense.
Will Marquette bounce back? Can Villanova hold their ground and stop their losing streak?
Game time is set for 1pm on Saturday at Villanova.
