CLax Three Stars: Attwood Dominates

Week 2 of the Canadian Lacrosse League saw an outrageous outburst of offense as 97 goals were tallied in just three games played. Many players stepped up in their season debuts or continued their push for a successful season, but there can only be three. Here are the Week 2 ILWT CLax Three Stars.

Third Star—Brad Levick—Durham TurfDogs
After a slow start in his TurfDog debut, Brad Levick netted three goals while adding two assists to help Durham secure their first win of the season. The third year veteran from Newmarket, ON seems to fit well with the Durham offense alongside Mack O’Brien, Nic Grasby and rookie Dylan Goddard and is poised to have another successful season.

Second Star—Corey Fowler—Niagara Lock Monsters
The 2013 CLax scoring champion has picked up where he left off last year, filling the net early and often in 2014. This past weekend the Niagara-On-The-Lake, ON native posted eight points (4 G, 4 A) in the Lock Monsters 16-10 victory over the Barrie Blizzard. Fowler now has 15 points on the year in just three games played.

First Star—Chris Attwood—Ohsweken Demons
The 2012 CLax Most Outstanding player kicked off his 2014 campaign on a high note nabbing an impressive nine points (5 G, 4 A) in the offensive showdown 21-19 victory over SouthWest this past Saturday. The 2012 CLax scoring champion will hope to lead the Oshweken Demons to their second Creator’s Cup in three years.
