What a weekend in Canadian Lacrosse League competition, on Friday night the Southwest Cyclops defeated the Ohsweken Demons to claim sole possession of first place in the standings, only to be defeated by the previously winless Niagara Lockmonsters on Sunday afternoon. CLax Power Rankings: Cyclops Comeback Sends Them to Top Spot

This past week of Canadian Lacrosse League action really showed the parity within the league. With the Barrie Blizzard upsetting the Ohsweken Demons and the Southwest Cyclops narrowly edging the Durham Turfdogs just 2 points separate 1st place from 4th. The Cyclops win, coupled with the Demons loss pushed the Cyclops into first place, while the Blizzard win coupled with the Turfdogs loss forced a tie between the two teams for third place….
