NLL Power Rankings: Week Ten

Another exciting week of NLL action is in the book, and we are now starting to talk who will clinch a playoff berth every week..  Toronto can clinch a playoff berth with a win and either a Minnesota or Colorado loss.  The Stealth clinch a spot with a Win over the Swarm.

  1. Toronto Rock  7-3  Friday night victory over a Mammoth team that stuck around til the fourth quarter, extend there lead in the east to 1.5 games over the Wings.   This weeks match-up @ Philadelphia Saturday afternoon 1pm.  Must game for the Rock in the tightly contested eastern division as a loss will give the season series to the Wings.

2.    Washington Stealth  7-4.  Stealth took advantage of a injury riddled Wings team, (Brodie Merrill-   concussion), (Jeff Reynolds-ankle), (Brett Manney-hamstring) en route to a 16-10 victory. VP/GM Doug Locker “This was a humbling win, we took advantage of the Wings weakness (Injuries), we will be in for a battle on April 20th”  Next game

3.  Calgary Roughnecks  6-5  BIG  19-15 win over the struggling Swarm.  Roughnecks clicked on all cylinders this weekend.. Calgary is on a bye this week as they prepare for the Mammoth on March 23rd

4.   Philadelphia Wings  5-4  Defeated 16-10 by the Stealth, as they took advantage of 3 key injuries.  Wings hope to have Merrill, Reynolds, Manney back this weekend.  Another lil tidbit.. Brendan Mundorf (F) and Erick Hoffman(D) started full contact practices.  Next game Saturday afternoon 1pm vs Toronto

5    Edmonton Rush  5-5  Start there east coast swing this weekend as they visit the Rochester Knighthawks in a rematch of last years championship game.   Edmonton returns back next weekend to face Buffalo & Toronto in back to back games before returning home for their final three games

6.   Buffalo Bandits  5-5  This has been a roller coaster of a season for the Bandits. Falling to Colorado 12-6 in a fight filled ending that is sure to have some suspensions handed out.  Johnny Tavares was a scratch for this game after playing both games the prior weekend.  It obvious the Bandits need Tavares in the lineup.  Buffalo travel to Colorado Saturday night for the rematch or should we say Round 2!!!  Ding Ding!!!

7   Rochester Knighthawks  5-5  Coming off a bye week as they prepare for championship rematch with the Edmonton Rush.  Saturday night 7:30   After this game the Knighthawks will have another bye week as they prepare for the stretch run into the playoffs.

8.  Colorado Mammoth  .3-7   Weekend Split,  14-10 loss to Toronto and a 12-6 win over Buffalo will move them up 1 spot.  Could they have found the answer in net?  Tye Belanger!  Great effort in the win.  Colorado goes for their longest win streak of the year 2, as they have the Bandits on there turf for the rematch/ Round 2!!

9    Minnesota Swarm   3-7  Third loss in a row as they fall to Calgary 19-15. The Swarm need to pull together as they have fallen hard since the loss of their captain Andrew Suitor.  Seems the final playoff spot will come down to the final 2 games of the Swarms season as they face the Mammoth on April 13 & 20th.  Next for the Swarm, Western Div leader Washington Stealth invade the Hive Saturday 7pm
