By: Pat Gregoire

First Star:
Connor Goodwin (McGill University) – Sophomore attackman Connor Goodwin played a big role in the two victories this past weekend chipping in seven goals and four assists for 11 points. Goodwin was a starting Midfielder for the Redmen last year but has been moved to attack for the 2013 season. It appears that the move by coach Tim Murdoch has paid off thus far as the New Westminster,BC native leads CUFLA in scoring with 24 points in seven games.

Second Star:
Ryan McCroy (University of Western Ontario) – Ryan McCroy had a huge weekend posting five points in each of the Western Mustangs wins. In the first game against McMaster, the Clarington,ON native finished with four goals and a helper, while in the Laurier victory he found the back of the cage twice and added a trio of assists. The 10 point weekend brings McCrory’s season total to 18 which is good enough for sixth amongst CUFLA scorers.

Third Star:
Alex Rohrbach (McGill University) – New Jersey product Alex Rohrbach posted six goals, three assists for nine points in the Redmen’s two weekend victories. Each of the 2012 Honorable Mention All Canadian’s six goals came in the 19-7 victory over Trent. In just 7 games this season, the junior attackman has already reached his CUFLA career best of 24 points.
