WLA Three Stars: Dickson Stars in Return

1st Star

Welcoming Rhys Duch back into the lineup and it showed as he had a huge weekend for the Victoria Shamrocks. On Friday night he earned himself four points (2 G, 2 A) Vs Maple Ridge then Saturday he earned himself five points (5 G) Vs Coquitlam. Needless to say this performance over the weekend earned him the first star of the week!
2nd Star
Curtis Dickson made it well known he was back in the WLA this weekend with a massive performance in a tie game vs Victoria. Curtis came out and earned himself seven points (5 G, 2 A) in his third game of the year for the Burrards to earn himself the second star of the week!
3rd Star
Robert Church was on a roll this weekend with Burnaby. On Friday he got himself five points (4 G, 1 A) Vs the Salmonbellies, and on Saturday he got four points (4 G) vs a struggling Timbermen squad to earn himself the third star of the week!
Goalie of the week
After stopping 35/43 shots in a hard fought game and handing the Shamrocks their first loss of the season, Adam Schute is my goalie of the week. He played solid and very technically sound as he shut down a strong ‘Rocks offence earning himself this accolade.
Honorable Mention
Corey Small was all over the floor for Victoria this weekend. With a seven-point (3 G, 4 A) performance vs Maple Ridge and one point (1 A) vs the Adanacs he earns my honorable mention and definitely caught the attention of the rest of the WLA that he can put points up consistently… if they didn’t already know!
