In some surprising news, all three Brampton Excelsiors coaches have said that they are leaving for the 2013 season. This includes Rochester Knighthawks coach Mike Hasen, former NLLer Dan Teat and Pat O’Toole. All three say they are stepping down to be with their children more.
Hasen is a Brampton native who played for the Excelsiors as well. He says he will still be at every Excelsiors home game, but in the crowd. He has been a part of the Excelsiors for twenty years.
Meanwhile, Brampton will begin a coaching search to completely rebuild the staff that brought them a Mann Cup two seasons ago. Dan Teat is also an assistant coach for the NLL’s Buffalo Bandits, who were eliminated from playoff contention on Saturday.
Teat picked up a career 630 points in 14 NLL seasons. He will remain a coach with Buffalo it appears, and is only stepping down from Brampton.
O’Toole is the former goaltender of the Rochester Knighthawks is their goaltending coach.
