The Atlanta Blaze acquired two players this afternoon when they traded for Nicky Galasso and Joe LoCascio of the Florida Launch. Going to the Launch in return is a 2017 second round supplemental draft selection and a fourth round collegiate draft pick.
Galasso, a midfielder and former player for Syracuse, has been with the Launch since last season. In 2015 he played in three games where he picked up one goal in a victory over the New York Lizards.
LoCascio, another midfielder, also played with Florida in 2015 when he played in four contests and had one goal and two assists. LoCascio was a third round draft selection out of Maryland in the collegiate draft of 2015.
The Blaze have worked to build a strong roster for an expansion team, and have already made a deep midfield led by Jeremy Noble, Justin Pennington, and Ryan Tucker.
Atlanta will open its season on April 23rd at home against the Chesapeake Bayhawks.
