On Sunday afternoon the New York Lizards opened their 2013 season with a 14-12 win over the Boston Cannons. Our Phil Shore caught up with several players after the game, and broadcasted them on Lacrosse Lounge last night.
“I thought our D middies were outstanding. We got five goals out of them and those guys are great.” said head coach Joe Spallina after the game. “They have talent” he said of Boston. “It’s just a matter of playing good team defense”
“It’s tough, we had too many big turnovers and we were offsides four or five times too. I think a combination of a lot of things. We hit five posts and it really could have gone either way” said Boston Cannons midfielder Paul Rabil.
