Bandits Announce High School Indoor Lacrosse League

Buffalo Bandits Director of Lacrosse Operations Scott Loffler today announced the organization will host the first-ever Buffalo Bandits Youth Indoor Lacrosse League for high school players this season.

“We are extremely excited to provide this experience to youth lacrosse players in the Western New York region,” Loffler said. “With the popularity of our Jr. Bandits program over the last two summers, we felt this was the next step in growing youth indoor lacrosse in the area. Pending arena availability, we will also be forming middle and elementary school leagues later in the season.”

The league will feature eight teams comprised of up to 20 high school-aged (grades 9-12) players per team. Games will be played under modified NLL rules and consist of two 20-minute halves with running time.

Each team will have one practice and play six games, including playoffs, all at First Niagara Center. Participating teams will also receive 40 tickets to a 2015 Bandits regular season home game and one autographed Bandits replica jersey, while each player will receive a reversible league jersey, a 2015 team yearbook, and a 2015 team photo.

In addition, each player on the championship-winning team will receive a championship t-shirt, championship hat, first-place medal, and the whole team will be recognized on the field during halftime of a Buffalo Bandits home game. Each player on the second- and third-place teams will also receive medals.

The cost per team to register for the Buffalo Bandits Youth Indoor Lacrosse league is $2,500.
