With a new year, comes new teams. Chesapeake has been busy with trades prior to the Supplemental Draft. The addition of young Joe Walters is a great pick up for the Bayhawks but they lose veteran Casey Powell who helped lead the matured Chesapeake team to back to back MLL titles.
Also, the front office sent John Grant Jr and Michael Simon out to Denver for attackman Brendan Mundorf. While adding from the Outlaws, Coach Cottle gained young defender Brian Megill for midfielder Dom Sebastiani and the eighth pick in the 2014 Collegiate Draft.
Immediately prior to the draft, Kevin Cooper and FOGO Matt Dolente were both sent to New York for the second overall pick where Chesapeake chose midfielder Cameron Holding.
In the second round, the Bayhawks had the sixteenth overall choice and acquired another midfielder in JJ Morrissey. The next two choices were goalies that were left off the Bayhawks 23-man protected rosters in Tyler Fiorito (24th overall) and TC DiBartolo (28th overall). Defenders Kyle Rubisch (32nd overall) and Andrew Sellers (34th overall) were the next two picks.
