Revenge was served Saturday night as the Denver Outlaws defeated the Chesapeake Bayhawks 13-9. This was the first meeting between the two squads since the MLL Championship game last summer which the Bayhawks won.
The win improves the Outlaws to 7-0 and gives them a two game lead in the MLL standings. In fact, they have not lost a game in 358 days. Eric Law had five goals for the Outlaws as he continues to lead them.
Bayhawks goalie Kip Turner saved more than 70 percent of shots of the entire Outlaws’ shots except for Law on Saturday night at Navy-Marine Memorial Stadium, which was really the only bright spot for the Bayhawks. Turner stopped a total of 19-of-32 (.594 pct.) for the game.
The Bayhawks will next be seen in Charlotte to take on the Hounds on Saturday, 22at 5:30 p.m. They have now lost three of their last four, with losses to Hamilton, Boston and now Denver after they had rebounded and defeated New York last week.
