New England just keeps making moves. After having a terrific draft picking up players like Quinn Powless and Ty Thompson, the Black Wolves have added forward Jay Card from the Minnesota Swarm for the 40th overall pick which turned into Paxton Leroux.
The Black Wolves have made a lot of little moves like adding forwards Jamie Lincoln and Mike Burke as well, and Card falls in the same category. After losing Jordan Hall they are looking to add more on offense and Card could be poised for a break out season.
Card has 50 career points in two NLL seasons since being drafted by the Minnesota Swarm in 2011. Card was a third round pick and he shapes up a New England roster that has been very active.
New England also signed Brett Bucktooth earlier this off season, so their forwards look a lot different than the core that was in Philadelphia. Card hasn’t seen much playing time in Minnesota, and he could still see competition in New England with the draft picks.
