The New England Black Wolves have solidified their roster going into this 2015 season. At the forward position, the Black Wolves have three players from last year’s Wings team. Kevin Crowley, who is the team’s franchise player, scored 75 points last year and is the leader of the club. Also two breakout players from last year return in Pat Saunders and Kyle Buchanan. Saunders scored 39 points last year and all time has 41 in his career. Buchanan is a Robert Morris alum was third on the team with 69 points look for him to have a big impact this year as well. New additions to look out for are NLL veteran Brett Bucktooth and Jamie Lincoln both coming over from the Stealth.
Other players will be rookies Mark Cockerton out of Virginia and Quinn Powless from the Six Nation Arrows. Also team USA member Kevin Buchanan is back with the team after taking last year off. Kevin has no family ties with Kyle but is going to be valuable to the team.
On the defensive side the team will be strong lead by returners Joel White, Mike Manley and Brett Manney. Some new players to watch out for are Mike McNamara who is coming off back to back Mann Cup championship summers with the Chiefs he is big strong defender. One player who people may be surprised made the team is Bill O’Brien. O’Brien was a college football player but did play box for the Presidents Cup champion Onondaga Redhawks this past summer. He also tried out for Iroquois National field team.
Craig England is another player who is a tough player who was not afraid to drop the mitts in preseason. In net the team will get back second year started Even Kirk and traded for a great back up in Tye Belanger from Colorado. The Black Wolves are even rich with talent on their Practice squad with rookies Sheldon Burns and Matt Crough out of Dowling College. Both players had a great shot at the active roster.
