The Boston Cannons made a last minute move on the Tuesday MLL trading deadline, adding Stephen Berger from the New York Lizards.The Boston Cannons added midfielder Stephen Berger from the Lizards in a last minute block buster this Tuesday. In return, the Lizards receive a 2014 collegiate first round draft pick and recently signed undrafted rookie Steve Mock.
Boston also picks up fifth and sixth round picks in the 2015 draft. However, if Mock plays ten games between this and next season for New York, that pick becomes a fourth rounder.
This season with the Lizards Berger has 13 points. He has spent his entire career with the Lizards except for a short stint with the Charlotte Hounds last season, before being traded back to the Lizards.
Berger has 248 career points, 181 of them goals in his nine year career in Major League Lacrosse. The Cannons are 4-5 on the season while the Lizards are 3-6.
