As the Boston Cannons get back into the playoff hunt, they have made a move for Charlotte Hounds defender Ricky Pages. As the Major League Lacrosse trade deadline nears, the Cannons picked up Ricky Pages yesterday, sending 2014 second round supplemental draft pick. The Cannons have been short at defense all season, and adding Pages helps them as they now sit at 4-5 on the season.
The Cannons started out the season 1-5, their worst start in franchise history. Since John Tucker took over as head coach, the Cannons have won three straight games. Defender PT Ricci missed some time but with him back and now Pages as well, the defense will be shored up a little bit.
The Cannons face the Hounds on Saturday night in their second matchup of the season. The Cannons defeated them two weeks ago in Charlotte. Pages has one point on the season, a single goal for Charlotte. He has 15 points in his career, but the big 6’5 defender has 89 career loose balls as well.
