The Boston Cannons traded for Ryan Young today of the Charlotte Hounds. In return, the Hounds will acquire a second round pick. In 11 games with Charlotte last season, Young produced 19 points.
Young has 83 career points in his four seasons in Major League Lacrosse. The attackman out of Maryland could add some offense that the Cannons seemed to lack late in the 2014 season.
A breakout player in 2013, Young made the all star roster and scored 40 points for his career high. In the draft, the Cannons lost Matt Striebel on their offense, and Matt Poskay, their former all star, was selected by New York.
Charlotte picked up a lot in the draft, despite losing Young. They added Team USA member Garrett Thul, Alex Zomerfeld, and they retained Bill Blakely.
