According to a source with the Boston Cannons, the team has traded defenseman Jack Reid to the Long Island Lizards for a sixth round college draft pick in 2014.
Reid has been a Cannon since 2009. Before that he played with the Rochester Rattlers. Reid was also a member of the NLL’s Boston Blazers for the three seasons before they folded.
Playing in 13 games last season, Reid did not have any points but did have 18 loose balls in the season. The Lizards have been looking to upgrade in defense, today drafting free agent defender Kevin Ridgway, and now they make a move for Reid.
The Cannons will get the Lizards sixth round pick in the 2014 draft. Stay tuned for more details as they emerge.
