Six Nations Chiefs (#1) vs. Kitchener – Waterloo Kodiaks (#4): Six Nations Leads 3-0
The Six Nations Chiefs (3-0) are one win away from advancing to the MSL League Final after defeating the Kitchener-Waterloo Kodiaks (0-3) by a score of 8-7 last night at the ILA. The Chiefs won the first game of the series 13-7, while only inching by 9-8 in game two.
Craig Point is leading the Chiefs this series with 13 points (5G, 8A) while Cody Jamieson, 12 points (5G, 7A) is providing secondary scoring. Evan Kirk has all three wins in net for Six Nations.
Jamie Rooney is carrying the Kodiaks with one goal and seven assists in three games with help from Aaron Wilson who has three goals and five assists.
Next game in this series goes August 8th in Kitchener – Waterloo at 8 PM.
Peterborough Lakers (#2) vs. Brooklin Redmen (#3): Brooklin Leads 2-1
The Brooklin Redmen (2-1) surprised many critics after taking a 2-0 series lead versus the Peterborough Lakers (1-2) on Monday night with a 11-10 OT victory in Whitby. One night later, it seems the tides have changed with the Lakers pulling within in one win of tying the series with an 11-3 victory over the Redmen at home on Tuesday night.
Shawn Evans led the Lakers with one goal and four assists Tuesday night with John Grant Jr. assisting on five of the Lakers 11 goals. Tyler Carlson picked up the win in net.
Peterborough travels to Brooklin on Thursday night for game four of the best of seven series. Game time 8 PM on The Lacrosse Radio Network.
