The Six Nations Chiefs could not have asked for a better ending to the season as they wont the Mann cup in six games over the Victoria Shamrocks. The Chiefs were the team to beat all year in the MSL and lived up to the billing.
In the regular season the Chiefs went an impressive 16-3-1 dominating the MSL on their way to a first place finish. The Chiefs were even more impressive in the playoffs as they went a perfect 9-0 and walked right into the Mann Cup final. In the Mann Cup they had difficulties with the Shamrocks in game one but were able to adjust which enabled them t defeat the Shamrocks in six games.
A he part of the Chiefs success was Cody Jamieson who had an outstanding year. In the regular season Jamieson sat third in team scoring having scored 34 goals and adding 33 assists. Jamieson would break out in the playoffs as he had 19 goals and 20 assists in just 9 games. For his playoff performance Jamieson was awarded the MSL playoff MVP. Jamieson saved the best for last though as he put up 29 points in just six games in the Mann Cup and was awarded the Mann Cup Mvp for his performance. Jamieson put the Chiefs on his back when they needed him the most and led them to victory.
The Chiefs supporting cast was just as deadly as Colin Doyle and Craig Point added a lethal depth to the Chiefs offense and if you tried to focus on Jamieson he would just pass it off to an open Doyle or Point who would find the back of the net.
Overall congratulations go out to the 2013 Mann Cup Champions the Six Nations Chiefs who will have their work cut out to repeat in 2014 as not only does the MSL get better every year but so do the teams in the WLA.
