Victoria would get on the board minutes later when Jeff Shattler scored to tie the game at 1-1. The Shamrocks would quickly press the advantage which resulted in a goal from Karsen Leung. The Chiefs would extend their lead to end the period as Colin Doyle would score followed by Cody Jamieson’s fourth goal of the game to make the score 7-4 after two periods of play.
In the third period it was all Chiefs early as Steven Keogh and Kedoh Hill scored early in the period to put the Chiefs ahead 9-4. With half the period in the books the Shamrocks offense finally woke up as Mitch Jones, Rhys Duch and Jeff Shattler scored to make the score 9-7 and pull the Shamrocks back within two. The Shamrocks would try to tie the game but the Chiefs would put the final nails in the coffin as Steven Keogh scored twice to put the Chiefs up 11-7 and secure the game five victory for the Chiefs.
