Two weeks ago when the Boston Cannons defeated the Ohio Machine to get into the playoffs, they were missing one of their top players. Faceoff man Chris Eck was out with a knee injury.
Luckily for them, John Ortolani stepped in and won twenty two of thirty six faceoffs and helped the Cannons win the game.
Earlier today on the Major League Lacrosse coaches conference call, Cannons head coach Steve Duffy said Eck’s knee was still bothering him, but he would be on the roster for Championship Weekend.
