1. Toronto Shooting Stars 3-1 (Last Week 1)
The Toronto Shooting Stars had no action this weekend but they still remain in the top spot in the ILWT CLax Power Rankings. The Shooting Stars have been lead by Peterborough native Aaron Grayson who has seven goals and 13 assists for 20 points, good enough for sixth best in scoring leaders. The Shooting Stars also have a balanced attack of offense with Mack O’Brien, Derek Hopcroft, Josh Wasson-Quigge and Brad Levick who each have over 10 points in four games. Dominating between the pipes has been Angus Dinely who is first in GAA (.874), second in save percentage(.820) and second in wins (3) among all CLax net minders. The Shooting Stars will have their hands full as the Ohsweken Demons will look for vengeance this Friday at the ILA. The Shooting Stars will also take on the winless Barrie Blizzard this Sunday at the Molson Centre in Barrie.
2. Ohsweken Demons 4-2 (Last Week 2)
The Demons are in soul position in first place in the CLax standings, but a loss to the red hot Shooting Stars caused them to drop down to second spot in the ILWT Power Rankings. The Demons will look to get back on track and take a four point lead on first with a victory over Toronto this Friday night at home. The Demons triple threat of Roger Vyse (40), Delby Powless (35) and Wayne VanEvery(30) still continue to dominate the CLax scoring leaders and sit top three respectively. The goaltending duo of Jake Henhawk and Jeff Powless has been solid but will need to step up this weekend against Toronto.
3. Durham Turfdogs 3-1 (Last Week 3)
The Durham Turfdogs spoiled the Niagara Lock Monsters home opener with a 12-10 win at Seymour Hannah in St.Catharines. The Turfdogs silenced a huge crowd of 537 fans en route to picking up their third win of the year. Goaltender Zach Higgins was outstanding stopping 49 of 59 Lock Monsters shots for his second win of the year. Shane Scott continued to fill the net as he found the back of the cage three times while adding two assists. Fellow former Halton Hills Bulldog Nic Grasby leads the team in points with 18, while Scott(17) and Defrancesco(16) trail closely behind. The Turfdogs will look to pick up their fourth win as they host the Brampton Inferno this Saturday afternoon.

The Inferno jump up one spot as they knocked off the Barrie Blizzard 17-13 last Saturday afternoon. Rookie Dustin Caravelo continues his solid freshmen campaign as he added a hat-trick and three assists in the Brampton victory. The Orangeville product now has 14 points in four games and sits third in scoring on the Inferno. Dowling College alumni Ryan Campbell currently leads all Inferno scorers with 20 points while fellow former Golden Lion John McClure sits in second with 18. Niagara opened their inaugural season at 2-0 but have dropped their last two contests bringing them to a 2-2 record. In their first two games they combined for 43 goals but their last two games have dropped to 23. Corey Fowler has been an offensive force for the Lock Monsters as he leads the team in goals(11), assists(14) and points(25).
6. Barrie Blizzard 0-3 (Last Week 6)
The Barrie Blizzard continue to look for their first franchise victory as they have been winless in their clubs first three games. A bright side to the winless Blizzard is Orillia native Caleb Wiles offensive production. In three games, Wiles has buried 10 goals while adding nine assists for 19 points. Goaltender Scotty Komer has been steady in between the pipes as he has made 102 saves in three starts, good enough for fifth among all CLax netminders. The Blizzard will have a tough challenge in their home opener as they take on the red hot Toronto Shooting Stars at the Molson Centre this Sunday.
7. Iroquois Ironmen 0-3 (Last Week 7)
Perhaps one of the biggest surprises thus far in the 2013 CLax season is the lack of success of the Ironmen. The 2012 offensive MVP Chris Attwood has been solid(9-10-19) but has not received the help he got last season with the Demons. Goaltending has been a major issue for the as four have seen action and none have a .GAA lower than 13 and a save percentage higher than .750. The Ironmen look to capture their first win of the season as they travel to the Powerade Centre to take on the Inferno.
