Rochester Knighthawks forward Cory Vitarelli joined Over and Back with Scott Arnold on Monday night to talk about his season with the Hawks, coming off a championship and playing with the Peterborough Lakers.
“It’s heat of the moment” he said about his trademark diving goals. “Every time that I have to score doing that I’m happy it goes in”
“The Minto in 2006” Vitarelli said of which championship was the toughest to win. “Probably because we were underdogs. That’s not to downplay the Champions Cup or the Mann Cup.”
The Knighthawks defeated the Philadelphia Wings last week and Vitarelli scored two goals in the win. “He’s always been there [Rochester] last couple of years, he’s a top notch player and one of the best in the league” he said about playing with Cody Jamieson, who assisted on one of Vitarelli’s goals last week, his 200th career assist.
