You can add two more players to the list of Franchise players and take two away from the list of free agents. The Philadelphia Wings have reportedly franchised goaltender Brandon Miller, while the Buffalo Bandits have franchised goaltender Anthony Cosmo.
Miller himself tweeted of his news, saying,”Very happy/thankful to get a franchise offer from @phillywings today! Great to have another run at it w/ the Redarmy!” It was retweeted by the Wings, but no official announcement has been made. Miller played in 16 regular season games last season, posting a 7-9 record, 12.68 GAA, and a .724 save percentage.
The Bandits have also brought back a goalkeeper of their own in Anthony Cosmo, who was franchised according to IL Indoor’s Ted Jenner. Cosmo was acquired via trade from the Minnesota Swarm last season, and struggled at the beginning of his return to the NLL. However as the season came to a close he began to shake of the rust and look like the Cosmo of old. He played in parts of 10 games last season, posting a 3-3 record, 12.41 GAA and a .759 save percentage. The future of fellow Bandits goaltender Michael Thompson is still unknown.
