As the Calgary Roughnecks face the Rochester Knighthawks in a rematch of the 2014 NLL Champions Cup, they will be without one of their top scorers.
Dane Dobbie will be out for Calgary this game, and their next, after he lost an appeal on his two game suspension. His suspension is due to a hit on Vancouver defenseman Rory Smith from February 14th.
“He’d [Travis Cornwall] play up front for Dobes then we’d make some other adjustments,” Roughnecks coach Curt Malawsky said. “We’re more than confident Travy can compete up there and create some space for Velts and Shats.”
Calgary won their first game of the season last week against Vancouver after starting the season at 0-6. Dobbie had 31 points so far this season.
